In au. endeavor to ascertain the reason for . thi s lack of inte r est on the part of the people, P r esident Morgan inquired of the elcle:rs reporting negligible results , ii they h a.d had suffi cient r.noney to purchase the food they had ne ded and lodging v1hene e r it was nece ssary. The elders stated they had - that they had ne V €~r missed a m eal and that they hac! been pa.ying regularly fo:r their lodging , and so far aa their travels were con• cerned, they we r e enjoying them greatly. It was early when. they started,. and they walked b riskly until dark , without meeting anyone or eeing any habitation where food ol~ l odging might be ob- · tained.
