I never heard any rurcors, but I know that many railroad employees were fired. Mrs Matsumiya and others had to work, like picking fruits. YY I wanted to teach my children Ja:panese rut there was no Ja:panese School except in Salt lake. I did teach my eldest son Ja:panese at hc:ma. He was al::xJut five, learned to write to about seven and learned sene "kanji" rut now he has forgotten everything. He does write saretirres rut wrong kanji, like writing "top" for "OOttan". There was no possibility of going to a Japanese School, unless you took a train. LK How did it make you feel when your kids did not want to learn? What did that feel like it to you? YY He did not like it very IID.lCh. He said I have to go to school to learn English and then I cc:rce hc:lre to learn Japanese.
