Show GUITARIST JEFF LINSKY in concert Oct 24126 By Kevin McCusker (and Tom Williams) Jeff Linsky is an outstanding guitarist. His numerous upcoming appearances in the Intermountain area are because of yeoman efforts by three people. David Norton and Steve Hanka obtained a grant from the Utah Arts Council to support this type of event. Tom Williams, a guitarist super enthusiast has been responsible for recruiting Mr. Linsky and organizing a very busy itinerary. These types of activities fit nicely with my personal philosophy toward acoustic music. E pluribus unum. Thanks Dave, Steve, and Tom. Mr. Jeff Linsky's appearances are supported in part by: A Grant from the Utah Arts Council, The Great Salt Lake Guitar Company, Giardino's Italian Restaurant, The Guitar Program at the University of Utah, and The Intermountain Acoustic Music Association. Jeff Linsky blends elements of jazz, classical and Latin music into his own warmly passionate and personal playing style. He has a strong classical technique and a remarkable gift for improvisation. Mr. Linsky is an award winning composer with several critically acclaimed recordings. He maintains a busy international concert career both as a soloist and with ensembles. Some comments from others: "This astonishing guitarist seems to have bridged entirely the troublesome gap between brain and fingers"- Acoustic Guitar Magazine. "Jeff is one of my favorite players. He has it all-great technique, a fabulous sound, and a wonderful feel for the instrument."- Earl Klugh. I could write pages more of accolades. Put it this way: if you like the guitar, hear this man play. The itinerary is: Thursday October 24, 1996 7:30PM The Great Salt Lake Guitar Company 362 West Center Street, Provo Utah.
