Show AMERICAN SOCIETY OF CIVIL ENGINEERS Of the engineering displays during Engineers Week, those by the American Society of Civil Engineers definitely had a direction pointed toward the future. In fact, the society's purpose is to mold the studies and work of those interested toward the future - Led by Lester A. Blackner, President, George Z. Aposhian, Veep, and by Lawrence G. Kirby, Secretary, the ASCE member enjoyed such events as the beard-growing contest, attendance race, and Ovster Stew, making an eventful year for all to remember.
