Show MARCH 6.-Friends of the Chi Omega girls enjoyed a most delightful evening at the Hotel Utah. The sorority flowers, ferns and sorority colors were used in profusion. The gracious hospitality of the hostesses resulted in a general good time.MARCH 9.-"Her Chance," a three-act play by Maude Stone, wins the prize of fifty dollars in the Gleam-Scribblers contest. This is the first attempt of organizations to unite to foster local authorship and the result is highly gratifying.MARCH 10.-Utah's team in Colorado and Wyoming. MARCH 11.-At Laramie, defeated Wyoming by a score of 41-25. MARCH 12.-In the Boulder Gym, won a fast game, 43-19. MARCH 13.-Again vanquished the U. of C. by a 30-11 score.MARCH 16.-Power! Speed! Currents! The Engineer's edition of the Chronicle was noteworthy for originality and a distinctive engineering atmosphere.MARCH 23.-Coach Bennion resigns. In the past four years he has done much to raise the plane of 'Varsity competitions to a high standard of efficiency, and early succeeded in getting Utah admitted to the Rocky Mountain Conference; also in putting into effect the Freshman rule at Utah.MARCH 23.-A law edition without law. The Barristers make Blackstone play checkers with Whitestone, using the Chronicle as a field of battle.MARCH 25.-The grand opera chorus, at a high tension of enthusiasm, is industriously working on Pagliacci, preparing for the presentation of the great masterpiece on May 7th.MARCH 26,-A committee, consisting of delegates from each of the clubs, is working on plans for the construction of a large central club house.211 |
