Show :|UTAH CAPTAIN MARSHALL G. RANDOL Commander R. O. T. C. THE R. O. T. C. The Field Artillery Reserve Officers Training Corps unit has been in operation one year. The training has been restricted this year to Freshmen and Sophomores, since to graduate from the course, four years satisfactory work has been prescribed as necessary. A satisfactory year has been accomplished and according to Captain M. G. Randol, a bright future is assured. During the year the University of Utah unit has been inspected by Colonel W. C. Potter from the office of the Chief of Field Artillery, who is in command of the twenty-two field artillery units in the colleges of the United States, and Colonel Moor N. Falls, District Inspector, Western Department. Both stated a satisfaction with the progress of the local unit. The courses so far include ordnance, elementary field artillery gunnery, army paper work, field service regulations, topography, rules of land warfare, military law, field artillery tractors, and physical training.
