In the fall of 1918, due to war action the fraternity was disbanded; but early in 1919 marked a revival. From that time its growth has been equal with all fraternities on the university campus. During the past eight years this local fraternity has diligently looked forward to a national charter. Formal favorable action at the last Grand Council of the Sigma Nu fraternity brought to Utah and the local fraternity Theta Sigma, the harvest of several year's diligent endeavor to secure a charter of this national reputable fraternal order. Installation ceremonies for Epsilon Uambda, the nintieth chapter of Sigma Nu, were set for March 7 and 8, 1924, and was conducted by a Sigma Nu installation team of the 14th Division, the Sigma Nu alumni chapter of Salt Uake and assisted by the General Secretary and Grand Regent. The granting of the Sigma Nu charter at Utah opens to the students of this institution a large field for future fraternal friendship, bolsters all now existing fraternities, and brings to the university campus greater power and unity. rfac-gsa-<L-^-qr-cgH3iirirminiiiiriiiiiimminiiiiiiiiiiniiimm 216 |
