Carey .............. 269 72.50 osoar ~ ~ i..o...g... ........ 320 lnu. w The last annual report mentions one five-year lease for farming pur-poses on the Omaha Reservation, and one five-year lease for farming purposes on the Winnebago Reservation, from Maroh 1,1896, the &st in favor of Mrs. Rosalie Farley, a member of the Omaha tribe, for 12,002 acres, at an annual rental of $6,001.09 for the first three years and $9,001.03 per year for the remaining two years; the other in favor of Nick Fritz, for 2,240 acres, at a11 aunual rental of $1,120 for the 5rst three years and $1,680 per year for the remaining two years. Kiowa and Comanche Reservation, 0kla.-February 17,1897, the Depart-ment authorized the advertising for bids for the grazing privileges on this reservation for the period of one year from April 1,1897. The bids received uuder the advertisement were submitted to the Department April 23. The office has not been advised of any action taken by the Department. Otoe Reaervstion, Okls--iThree grazing leases, each for the period of one year from April I, 1897. The east half of the West Otoe pasture, estimated to eontain 20,000 acres, to Jnlian H. Morris, at an annual rental of $1,300. The west half of West Otoe pasture, estimated to contain 20,000 acres, to Frank Witherspoon, at an annual rental of $1,300; also 10,000 acres additional grass land in Otoe Reservation to Jnlian H. Morris, at an annual rental of $600. Ponca Reservation, 0kla.-Two grazing leases, each for the period of one year from April 1,1897. East Ponca pasture, eatimated to contain 33.000 acres, to Frank Witherspoon, at an aunual rental of $1,700; West Ponca pasture, estimated to contain 33,000 acres, to William T. Miller, at an annual rental of $2,500. On the following reservations no additional leases have been made during t.he past year: Crow, Montanaj Eickapoo, Ean~as ;O sage and Eaw, Oklahoma; Shoshone, Wyoming; and Uiutah, Utah.
