The cost per capita for such day aohools as are now contemplated is more a matter of conjecture; bntit is thought that the SIIIUS assumed will be fotind not far out of tlre way. This gives a total for the cost of ~naintaining schools for the edneation of 16,134 pupils dnrinq the next year as little more than $2,000,000.
