Show FIFTY FIRST ANNUAL CONVENTION OF THE UTAH FEDERATION OF BUSINESS & PROFESSIONAL WOMEN" S CLUBS INC. SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH June 7th,) 8th and 9th, PRE -,COmlENTION EXECUTIVE 1974 COMMITTEE MEETING: The Executive Committee of the Utah Federation of Business & Professional Inc.: met on Friday, June 7, 1974, at 9:50 A. M. at the Tri-Arc Travelodge in Salt Lake City, Utah. Women's Clubs, Arletta Elton, President Mildred Richey, President-elect Present were: Kathryn Putnam, First Vice President Lola Nelson, Recording Secretary Virginia Carlson, Corresponding Secretary Madeleine Parker, Treasurer Alene Hansen, Past President Elopise Fillmore, Jane Invoeation The prayer was Culbreth, - Director Parliamentarian National Representative given by Millie Richey. The meeting was called to order at 9:50 A. M. by President Elton. calling the meeting to order the Executive Committee helped stuff the convention kits. Prior to President Elton welcomed her committee and introduced National 2nd Vice Pres_dent Jane Culbreth to the group. Jane expressed her pleasure in being in Utah and her desire to be of service to the Utah Federation during their convention. Minutes approved Minutes of the Fall Board and Executive Meeting held May Meeting, Executive Meeting held March 2, 1974 18, 1974 were read and approved as corrected. Program Chairman for the convention Emma Miller and Convention Chairman Frances Lenox presented a review of the convention program to the Executive Committee. Frances requested that President Arletta announce to the participants that they must assemble for the Parade the Saturday night banquet at 6:00 P. M. After discussion and a few minor changes Arletta thanked Frances and Emma for meeting witm and presenting the program for the Executive Committee's at us approval. Motion Tentative '74-'75 Budget AleneBansea moved that we accept the program as presented and corrected to be presented to the Board of Directors. Motion seconded by Millie Richey, all voting aye. Janice 1975 Pearce, State Budget and stated Finance that Chairman, presented the tentative 197- it was based on a membership figure of 1215 Discussion followed after which Janice Pearce moved that we accept the tentative Busget for 1974-1975 for presentation to the Board of Directors at their breakfast meeting Saturday morning. Seconded by Lola Nelson. All voting aye. using an attrition rate of 3%. |
