The following contract between the Utah State Building ' Commission and the University of Utah providing for funds to be and the Chairman of the Board and the Secretary were instructed to execute the contract. THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into in duplicate this ninth day of December 1938 by and between the Utah State Building Commission, party of the first part, hereinafter called "TEE COMMIso SIGN" and the university of Utah, party of the second part, hereinafter called "THE UflIVERSITY". WHEREAS Henry H. Blood, Governor did on July 15,1938, make application to the United States of America through the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works for a grant to aid in financing the construction of a fieldhouse at the University of Utah estimated to cost $181. 818. 00 and EEEBEASIH. A. Gray, acting for said Public werks Admini- stration, did on August 27,1938, offer to aid in such financing to the extent of 45% of the cost of the project, and iEflmEEAS the State of Utah, acting by and through the Utah State Building Commission, did on September 15 1938, in formal meeting assembled accept such offer of Federal aid and WHEREAS the University did on this ninth day of December and officers 1938 pass a resolution authorizing certain members to supply funds in an approximate amount of $100, 000. 00 to assist be to in the construction of said fieldhouse, said sum.of money obtainedfrom sources other than funds of the State of Utah and V |
