Whetten Mayor of Cedar City Cedar City, Utah 84720 Dear Mayor Whetten: This is in further reply to your request for an extension of time for placing Cedar City's allocation of Storage Project power'under contract. In lieu of granting this extension of time we are willing to enter into a 20-year contract to supply the City's estimated power requirements through the 1975-76 winter season. Enclosed in triplicate for your review is a contract with Cedar City for the purchase of Storage Project power. Payment under this contract would net begin until the City is ready to receive electric service. Also, in the event your plans to acquire an electric distribution system do not materialize, the contract will automatically terminate on April 1, 1972. Inasmuch as we do not have a contract with California-Pacific Utilities Company for delivery from the Paragonah Delivery Point at 138-kJ.lovolts to the actual Point of Use at Cedar City, this contract is written for delivery at Paragonah at 138- kilovolts. Arrangements for delivery from there to the City's distribution system will need to be made prior to the date of initial service. If you desire to contract for Storage Project power, please insert in the appropriate blank spaces in Exhibit A tha amounts of power you wish to place under contract by seasons, execute the original and one copy, and return them to this office. This contract must be executed by January 26, 1970, in order to assure the City of a power supply from the CRSP, Ycur Storage Project allocation will be rescinded as of January 26, 1970, If you have any further questions regarding this contract or your allocation, please let u-3 know.
