Show PART IV MEANS FOR MEETING NEEDS The projected land management production improvement practices shown in Appendix VI, Land Resources and Use, include practices that will solve some of the watershed problems. Some of these practices are 1,640,440 acres of brush and weed control, 768,070 acres of range seeding, 5,480 miles of fence, 6,910 water developments, and grazing management systems. Fences and water development are necessary to apply proper range management. Plant control and range seeding will enhance range production but must be accompanied with proper range management to oe errective in watershed protection. These practices will speed up protection and will also shorten the time required for maximum production. ismiM i:*Sltm Plant control and range seeding for production and watershed protection |
