Next Murdock interrupted Ely by calling several Arizona rebuttal witnesses out of order, giving the excuse that they had to leave town. Ely was cut off. The re- buttal witnesses consumed the afternoon session of the hearing, but Murdock saw to it that the record did not present them in that order. He had their testimony printed at a later date, so that the record would not show that Ely had been interrupted.
