Show -2- 70th Congress S. 728 2d Session In the Senate of the United States December 5, 1928 Referred to the Committee on Irrigation and Reclamation and ordered to be printed AMENDMENT Intended to be proposed by Mr. Phipps to the bill (S. 728) to provide for the construction of works for the protection and development of the lower Colorado River Basin, for the approval of the Colorado River compact, and for other purposes, viz: On page 3, line 14, strike out the figures "$125,000,000" and insert the following: "$ 165,000,000. Of this amount the sum of $25,000,000 shall be allocated to flood control and shall not be repaid to the United States except out of revenues, if any, in excess of the amount necessary to meet periodical payments during the period of amortizi-tion, as provided in section 4 of this Act." On page 4, line 25, strike out the figures "$125,000,000" and insert "$165,000,000." |
