I have lately received a letter from Dr. McNeice stating the prospect for college students and desiring my attendance. I am very sorry that I shall be unable to go. Our financial outlook is not bright and since Leonard and Johnnie discontinued school partly for my benefit last year, I shall at any cost do my best to return favor and help them through this year. Since coming to Kemmerer I have looked around at several different jobs with a view of eventually getting a job switching or breaking, and have made scarcely enough to settle a few small debts and pay expenses. Two weeks ago I was offered a prospective job as Roadmaster's Clerk. A week ago the position became a certainty and I was sent to Montpelier while the division was being removed to Kemmerer and to Pocatello for physical examination. I returned yesterday. The position pays only $60.00 a month but it is a good one with very little work and unlimited experience.
