Show Murray, Ut. Aug. 16. 1905.

Geo. B. Sweazey,

Dear Friend:-

Your letter sent to Durango received here while in the hospital so have been unable to answer until now. The man I was working for in Durango sold his ranch and moved to El Paso, Texas, and not caring to go back on the railroad, I started for home. I stopped off here to see Thomas Comos and get some books (which are at Collegiate now) and I went to work at the Highland Bay Smelter. I have been here since July 21 and have been in town twice, stopping both times to see you. The first time there was nobody at home and the second time the little girl said you were where Jessy Lee worked Spanish Fork, so I did not get to see you. I do not think I will get to go to school this term but will work here all winter. I will be in town in a week or so and I will stop in and see you.
Meanwhile I remain

Your friend Lawrence Balster
(c/o Highland Bay Smelter)

|
