There has been a gain of 140,433 members, while the increase in the number of ordained ministers is nearly 2,000." <br> "From Sitka, Alaska, comes the report of a Christian Endeavor Society in a pastorless church, which takes charge of the Sunday evening service and conducts a weekly prayer meeting in an outlying Indian village. <br> Several young people's societies in Philadelphia have supported a union reading room during the past two years.
