THE CHURCH REVIEW <br><br> General Church Notes. <br> METHODIST. <br> Mrs. Amanda Smith, the negro evangelist has been conducting a mission in Belfast, Ireland. <br> Taizo, Schmidzu, a native of Japan is doing efficient evangelistic work among the churches near Evanston. <br> At the Baltimore conference last week Bishop Wilson, of the M. E. church South; A. W. Wagman of the African M. E. church together with Bishops Hurst and Andrews were on the platform. <br> George Whitfield's wife and Top-lady, author of "Rock of Ages Cleft for Me," were buried in an old burying ground attached to Whitfield's Tabernacle in London. There are about 30,000 graves there and the ground has been converted into a recreation and pleasure ground known as Whitfield's Gardens. No attempt has been made to remove the remains. <br> The King of Korea at his own request gave Bishop Ninde an audience-that they might talk over the educational situation. He said he wished the Bishop to send the Koreans more teachers and offered to supply our schools with 200 state students as soon as we can take them. <br> The following annual conferences are in session today[:] Central Missouri, Fayette, Mo., Bishop Foster; Delaware, Philadelphia, Pa., Bishop Newman; New Jersey, Burlington, New Jersey, Bishop Merrill; South Kansas, Burlington Kans.; Bishop Goodsell; Wilmington, Smyrna, Del., Bishop Hurst. <br><br> "Jewesses of St. Louis have formed the Sisterhood of Personal Service, a charitable organization which will care for the poor of their own denomination and educate their children." <br> "January 11 was at once the seventy third anniversary of the birth of Dr. Theo. L. Cuyler and the fiftieth anniversary of his entering the ministry.
