THE CHURCH REVIEW. <br><br> Among The Churches <br> OF SALT LAKE CITY. <br> ILIFF M. E. <br> The revival continues; three conversions last night and others deeply interested. Let the church hold on by prayer and faith to the arm of God, which is mighty to save, and by continuous invitation bring our friends to hear and see what God can do for the soul. We cannot think of ceasing while there is such a good work being done. We shall ask both the church and Epworth choir to come early during the coming week and give us a rousing half hour song service. Bring your Gospel Hymns number 5, so that we may have an occasional fresh piece of music. We have to thank Bro's Mark, Jayne and Dr. Iliff for good help last week and shall expect several different ministers during the coming week. <br> We were pleased to have a visit from our friend Mr. Beesley, Provo, last week. He is president of our Epworth League there and reports good work being done. <br><br> LIBERTY PARK M. E. <br> Remember you save 40 cents by paying for your advocate by March 25. After that it will be $2.00 instead of $1.60. <br> A mass prohibition meeting will be held in this church, Tuesday evening. Please make it your business to inform as many as possible. <br> Baby Groff and baby Steele have been seeing rough days recently, but at present writing, (Wednesday) both are better. <br> Father Huffman's folks and brother Williams have taken a ranch down near Calder's Park for the summer and the former have moved thither. <br> Brother Beesley was roaming about the precincts of Liberty Park last Wednesday, and called at the parsonage. <br><br> FIRST BAPTIST. <br> If our Sunday school does not number more than 200 today, it will be because some of the readers of this paper are not in their places. <br> The Juniors will give an entertainment in the school building tomorrow (Monday) evening. Admission, adults ten cents, children five cents. Doors open at seven. Various games will be in order from seven to eight. The formal program will begin at eight. The fact that Miss Clarke has charge is a guarantee that the affair will be thoroughly enjoyable. <br> Deacon Randolph and the pastor drove six miles to Mill Creek last Wednesday evening to attend the regular weekly meeting which our friends held there. This time it was at Mrs. Lousia Bawden's. The visiting brethren were surprised to find such a large company of the neighbors, nearly 40 being present. Each one seemed to experience a spiritual blessing. Brother Smith usually leads the meeting and he is ably assisted by sister Smith, Mrs. Bawden and her family, Mrs. Johnson and the Christian neighbors generally. The good influence of these meetings for prayer is very marked in the community. <br> The Fraternity Social last Monday evening in which all the Baptist Young People's Societies in the city participated, was a lively affair. The kindergarten games by the adults was a hit. The refreshments consisted of what the Irishman called "The very oil itself," as distinguished from what is sometimes called the staff of life. They were served "Aqua et igne inicrdicte." <br> The new singing books for the Burlington Chapel have been received. The singers there, are already planning something special for Easter. <br><br> PHILLIPS CONGREGATIONAL. <br> This evening the sermon will be of a revival nature. Our special meetings will commence April 3rd and will continue until Easter. <br> Sunday evening March 31, Rev. W. B. Mucklow, will deliver an illustrated lecture in our church, entitled "Elijah the great Reformer." Mr. Mucklow will use his own large stereopticon at this service. Seats free, all are invited. <br> Quite a number of our Endeavors and Juniors are expecting to go to the convention at Ogden. <br> Remember one week from next Monday is reserved for our lecture on "Mighty London." Speak to your friends about it, and better still sell them some tickets, only twenty five cents, that are well worth one dollar. Children under 12 years admittance 15 cents. The pastor preached at Sandy, last Friday evening. <br> Tickets for the London lecture are for sale at Parsons book store. <br><br> EAST SIDE BAPTIST. <br> The missionary program given by the C. E. society last Sunday evening, was enjoyed by all. The recitation by Miss Biggs is highly complimented. <br> Our people deeply regret the illness of Miss Morford, She is so missed in all church work. Earnest prayers are being offered for restored health. <br> Pastor preached last Sunday evening at Provo. Bro. Andrews is suffering from hoarseness resulting from a bad cold. There was a large attendance and all departments of our work are encouraging. <br> The prayer meeting this week was unusually large. There was a unanimous vote to hold a series of special meetings. Mr. Lepper and wife Gospel singers, now at Evanston are expected to be with us this week. <br><br>
