Show THE CHURCH REVIEW

Y. M. C. A. News.
Men's Gospel Meeting Today.
Mr. A. J. Orem, superintendent of the Sunday school of the First Baptist church, is to address the meeting at 4 p. m. today. A treat is assured those who attend. The following quartette will sing: Wood, Carlisle, Abell and Jayne. All men are invited.

Bible Training Class.
The series of lessons given Monday evenings by Mr. Bowler has proven even more profitable than we at first anticipated. It is a pleasure to see how he opens up God's word and clears away many mysteries and doubts. The present members express their satisfaction with the work accomplished and desire to announce that the class will be continued. Any young man wishing a clearer insight to the scriptures is invited to attend.

Edouard Remenyi.
At the First Congregational church Monday, April 15th, Remenyi the great violinist will appear under the auspices of the Association. With him are Miss Pauline Stein, the German Soprano and Henry Eames, the eminent young pianist. Further particulars next week.

Social Tuesday, April 2nd.
Under the direction of those wide awake young men of the Debating Club, a social will be given in our rooms on the above date. A splendid program will be rendered. Ladies are invited. It will be "an affair" of unusual merit.

Famous Social, April 8th.
Read the auxiliary notes for particulars. Let every member cooperate with the good ladies in an effort to make this a grand success. You must pay ten cents for admission also.
The address last Sunday by President Warren called forth many expressions of satisfaction from members and friends. It was indeed very helpful.

The Base Ball Team.
Mr. M. R. Evans, the popular bicycle dealer, has kindly furnished complete equipment for eleven men with the understanding that our team is called the Y. M. C. A. Monarchy. His idea being to advertise the wheel of that name. In as much as the bicycle is one of great merit, our boys do not object to playing under the combination name and will endeavor to be monarch in deed as well as name. It is Cap.-Cross again.

AUXILIARY NOTES.
The Ladies Auxiliary are planning to give a "Famous Social" on April 8th, which will prove very amusing. We would like to see all our friends who can, join with us.
It would give us pleasure to see a larger attendance at our monthly meetings, as a proof that there is no lack of interest in our work.
Our Secretary, Miss Fowler, left Tuesday last to visit friends in the country.

In Labrador there are 1,329 Eskimo Christians.
The Congregational Educational Society has educated 3,000 ministers and students.
There are 14,983 pastors and 1,362,760 members in all the colored Methodist churches.
Barrooms are closed on Sunday in all of Scotland, in all of Wales, and in all of Ireland, except five towns.
The Congregationalists of Chicago and its suburbs claim that their churches have increased from seventeen to seventy during the past twelve years.

CLOTHING
If You Are Thinking
That your outfit needs renewal or enlargement, the proper course is to examine our stock of Clothing at once. The display is a study in current styles. We follow fashion as closely as the tail does the dog, and consequently those who come to us for clothing are bound to wear what's right. It isn't telling half the story, though, to say that our suits and overcoats are stylish, because they're that and everything else that fine clothing ought to be. There's value in them and value and style are everything in clothing. You're bound to be suited if we provide the suit.
J. P. GARDNER,
136-138 Main Street.

|
