INTERVIEW: Emilio Jaime Vasquez Page 37 EV: And the farmer he came over and told us, my brother that we'd have to kind of slow down because we were---in other words, taking too much of the work, you know, away from the other people, but our idea was to get as much as we could through for that summer, you know. So---but some of the men got mad cause they wanted to do more work, and not just a little bit. So the farmer he next day come over and told her that we had to leave, and we hadn't hardly made any money---to make the move, see. So lucky that there was another farmer that heard that---he had run us out, and he caught my brother in town, and, he says, 'come on and we'll set you up a place where you can stay. Well, we stayed during that whole summer, harvest all his crops that he had to harvest, and the following year, we went back, and this first farmer that run us out, he had spotted my brother, you know, come over and offered him a place to stay without anymore trouble, because evidently he got---well, he was stranded, in other words, with the work. So he actually wanted us to stay there, but my brother had already signed up with this other farmer. VM: What was the composition of the workers.
