Show THE CHURCH REVIEW.

Territorial News.
BAPTIST, PROVO.
There will be no services at the church this evening. All unite with the congregational church. Rev. Samuel Rose closes his labors tonight to go east. We regret to lose one who has been tried, and whose character has been such as to give tone to the cause; and who has preached the gospel instead of catering to the loose, worldly opinions and methods of the day. May the Lord preserve his health and bless him and his family by giving them a pleasant and happy New England pastorate so congenial to their natures, is our prayer.

METHODIST, PROVO.
We welcome Mrs. Lindsay and her daughter Mrs. Beamer to our church associations.
We leave for the Epworth League convention and annual meeting of the Mission on Tuesday morning. Have not been able to complete our reports yet. Hope all who have not reported will do so today.

Methodist, Park City.
Our Sunday school is improving but while the measles are prevalent we do not expect as large an attendance as usual.
We are very glad to have Bro. and Sister Wolter of First church Salt Lake with us. They expect to make their home here. We have lost some good members recently by removal but others are coming and filling up the vacancies.
The Epworth League held a Very pleasant business meeting, with Brother Wm. Baxter, the president in the chair. Half dozen Leaguers or more hope to attend the rally at Salt Lake on the 18th and 19th.

PRESBYTERIAN, OGDEN.
The children's service last Sabbath was a most enjoyable one- some of our friends being frank enough to say "it is the best we have ever seen in this church." The little ones certainly did splendidly, and the way "things went" was a surprise and a pleasure to all who attended. Too much praise cannot be given to the workers who so faithfully helped to make the whole program a success. As to the flowers, we do not ever remember of seeing the church more beautifully decorated. The offering amounted to $15.55, which goes to the "Board of Sabbath Schools."
The net receipts from the concert which the ladies gave a few weeks since, assisted by the "Marchesi Club" and others, amounted to a little over $22.
A ripe, red, rosy social; a real rich, racy social; a rare, refreshing, rejuvenating social, is the one that will be given entirely and altogether by the young men of the C. E. society of our church next Tuesday evening. Look out for it.
The thanks of the church is due and is hereby given to Mr. M. T. Light and Mr. B. S Brainerd for their good work in the raising for permanent use the rostrum; it is of great advantage to both pastor and people.
At last Sabbath morning's service four more children were baptized-Harlan Amos Walker, Leland Arthur Walker, Margaret Rankin and Lillian Bessie Neilson.
Do not neglect to welcome the stranger. After the benediction is pronounced look about for new faces as well as for the faces of your friends. Never let our church have cause to be dubbed "the refrigerator."

CONGREGATIONAL, OGDEN.
Commencement week has come and gone and left behind it, its long line of graduates. In the essays and declamations was repeatedly expressed the hope that, this might be indeed the commencement of a life of usefulness and prosperity. One other wish we would add and that is that instead of, as is now the case, but a small percentage being Christian Endeavorers, this army of young people would enter the work for Christ and the country. Prominent now, is the Good Citizenship thought of the C. E. Societies and no better field could be found for utilizing the Intellectual acquirements and energy of these bright young people than this. The REVIEW extends congratulations and hearty good wishes to all the graduates of the various schools in town and with Rip Van Winkle, we say, "May you live long and be happy."

BAPTIST, OGDEN.
Deacon Brown has been suffering excruciating pain from quinsy the past week. Part of the time he has not been able to take even liquid nourishment. It is a wretched ailment and we trust the deacon will not be afflicted with it soon again.
This evening the Sabbath school will occupy the time for preaching service with the program for Children's Day and everyone may be assured of a splendid time.
Next Sabbath evening a union service will be held in our church in the interest of the American Bible Society.
We had the pleasure of meeting the pastor of the Calvary Baptist church, Dr. McArthur, of New York City, last week. He is swinging around the world and could not afford to miss Ogden City.

|
