Show THE CHURCH REVIEW. <br><br> METHODIST. <br> One of the most hopeful signs of the times toward the prosperity of British Methodism is the revival of interest in foreign missions. <br> Both members of the book concern agency; Messrs. Cranston and Curts were present at the session of the Colorado conference. <br> Bishop Thoburn's presence at Columbus, Ohio, May 19th, caused the missionary collection to advance $1700. <br> The Haymarket Methodist mission in Denver sees one hundred persons converted every month. Messrs. Dean[,] Peck, and Ray are the powerful agents in the hands of the Holy Ghost for that work. <br> Mr. Max Magil, a converted Jewish Rabbi, who was led to accept Christ by a careful study of the New Testament, is engaged in mission work among the Jews. He is a member of Forsythe Street M. E. church New York. <br> Rev. Chas. J. Little, Ph, D. L. L. D., F. Hardin D. D., W. H. W. Rees, D. D., A. B. Leonard D. D. and many others were at the session of the Colorado conference. <br> Rev. Dr. P. C. Hetzler agent of A. B. S. has been working through the Territory in the interest of the Bible society. <br> Four hundred fifty presiding Elders report 125,000 conversions this year, and 11,550 accessions to the church, but there are about five hundred presiding Elder yet to hear from. <br><br> HEATH M. E. CHURCH. <br> In the absence of our pastor Rev. Bush of First church will preach for us tonight. Come and hear the sermon, service beginning at 8 o'clock. <br> The Epworth League will begin at 7 o'clock, led by Sister Briggs. <br> Cannot everybody who subscribed money at the dedication of our church, hand the amount to the pastor before conference begins June 20th. <br> One week from tonight there will be no preaching in our church, because everybody will want to hear the Bishop. <br> Sabbath school at 9 a. m. next Sabbath and we will close promptly at 10 o'clock so that all will have plenty of time to go to hear Bishop Foss at 11 o'clock. Let all be on time next Sunday. <br> Our Children's Day one week ago was a great day. The church was filled with flowers and most tastefully arranged. The part that the little children had was well rendered. The "Golden Gate" was most excellent. Best of all the church was filled to the utmost with people to enjoy the exercises. Thanks for all who helped to decorate the church, especially to Mrs. Price and Miss Briggs for their work in drilling the children for the program. <br><br> Success does not come undeserved, either in great or small things.
