An artistic success, a social success, a financial success-thus combining in one, all that previous Proms have had to commend them. The Hotel Utah was the place chosen, after some deliberation. With its natural beauty added upon by the handiwork of the class members, it presented an artistic setting in keeping with the standards set by the most elaborate of the Junior successes held in the past. The crowd was as large as the ball room of the Hotel Utah could accommodate, and its equal in brilliance has seldom been seen in a western college. Above all else is the class proud of the good management which resulted, not in a deficit as is usual, but in a neat profit. To the six members of the Prom committee is all credit due and the class of fifteen is proud of them.137 |
