Max Lundburg, Treasurer Bob Ze.i gler, Secretary Guests Present Keith Lange Jack Simpson Woody Anderson Glenn Evans, Proposed Seminar Chairman James Croft, Sales Manager Hotel Bannock Phil Jones, Demonstration Team Chairman Meeting called to order by President Lorenz, 7:40 p.m. President Lorenz announced that the main purpose of the meeting is to set the date, place and establish an agenda for the 1967 General Membership Meeting and Seminar. The dates proposed are October 28 and 29, the location proposed is the Hotel Bannock. The proposed agenda was given: Saturday, October 28 would be devoted to Speakers of interest and group seminars on subjects of interest. Saturday evening, a cocktail p~rty. Sunday morning would be the annual meeting and Sunday afternoon, the New Board of Directors Meeting. Mr. James Croft gave the review of the available facilities: There are four small meeting rooms similar to the one in which this meeting was held. The smallest has a capacity of 25 while the largest has a capacity of 40. A banquet hall is available for meetings of the complete convention. There are no charges for the rooms provided a luncheon or banquet is held. Banquet luncheons range from $2.00 to $3.00, while dinners are $3.00 to $5.00. Bar prices for cocktail parties are 759 per drink with 25 drinks poured per 5th. Rooms would be available for those desiring to stay in the hotel. Price ranges are singles $7.00-$10.00 and $8.00- $12.00 for a double. Motion: That the Executive Committee accept the proposed site of Hotel Bannock, Pocatello, Idaho and the proposed dates of October 28 and 29, 1967. (Lange-Zeigler) carried. Executive Committee Meeting -2- 16 September 1967 Recommendation by Jack Simpson that Glen Evans investigate a more reasonable bar price. Motion: That the dates be changed to October 21 and 22. (Simpson-no second) motion died for lack of a second. Motion: That the above motion setting place and dates be rescinded and that the power be delegated to the President to research further and select a site and date (Anderson-Simpson) carried. Recommendations: Max Lundburg - The registration committee should have only that responsibility of registration. Bob Zeigler - The registration committee should work closely with the credentials committee and Secretary to insure all members that are attending, are in good standing; this will eliminate role call at the annual meeting. President Lorenz reviewed the following proposed agenda: Sat., 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. 9:30 -10:00 10:00 -10:30 10:30-11:00 11:00 -12:00 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. 1:30 - 4:30 6:00 - 7:00 Sun., 9:30 -10:00 a.m. 10:00 - 1:30 - ---- p.m. Registration President's Speech - Lou Lorenz Speech by undetermined representative of Interski. Speech on French Ski School - Kirby Dawson. Four 15-minute Group Seminars (groups rotate each 15 minutes) "Interski" (above undetermined Interski guest). "Certification" (RhinehartAnderson. "Wha t Should I. S. I .A. Do For You" (Lorenz-Segil-Lundburg) "Articles of Incorporation & Bylaws" (Zeigler) Luncheon Continuation of Seminars Punch Party Late Registration I.S.I.A. 1967 Annual Meeting New Board of Directors Meeting. Motion: That $5.00 maximum be set for the convention registration fee. (Simpson-Rhinehart) carried. President Lorenz reviewed the order of business for I.S.I.A. 1967 Annual Meeting as follows: Executive Committee Meeting -3- Call to Order Reading of the Minutes Reports: President's Report Certification Committee Report 16 September 1967 (all other reports will be printed and handed out at the meeting) Old Business New Business Approval of Articles of Inc. Election of Board of Directors The nominating committee was appointed as follows: Jack Simpson Jack Buffat Dick Neilson - Chairman Chuck Fields Proposed Executive Secretary was discussed. President Lorenz recommended that the duties include: (1) Collection of fees; (2) maintenance of membership records; (3) association correspondence. The treasurer would still make disbursements. The Executive Secretary would receive a flat fee per member. Motion: That the Executive Secretary be placed on the agenda for the Board of Directors meeting. (Anderson-Zeigler) carried. Recommendation by President Lorenz - that the fall examiners clinic be coordinated with the Demonstration Team tryouts and that D. Rhinehart, W. Anderson, L. Lorenz, and P. Jones be responsible for picking the team. The dates for the fall examiners clinic were set at November 11 and 12, 1967. Motion: That the meeting adjourn. (Anderson-Zeigler) carried.
