We were also able to avail ourselves of the offices of some agents from the forbidden hoiy clties of Islam whom we accidentally met in Cairo and Beirut. In this wise, we acquired a number of sets, Sunnite and Shi'ite alike, pufelished at Mekka, Medina, Nagev, Karbala, Kufa and Basra. Beirut New Publishing House had recently secured the right to represent Tunisian publishers in Lebanon, and we immediately ordered a complete series of the books available from that source. Secondly, one of our colleagues» Dr. Sami A. Hanna, who was in Tunisia to explore the possi-bility of an Arabic Language program je4 nf ly MI I injuí, fc.a 4>y this Univer-sity ai^the Unlversity of Tunis, voluntariiy purchased a set of oíd Tunisian publications and a few Maghribin manuscripts.
