Udall over the St. 1ohns Stake, and I was chosen as first couselor to President David E. Udall and continued ·in that position tor eighteen' years. Being released from that mission dn 1906, \ hen moved to Idaho, locating in Basalt in the Blackfoot Stake or Zion, Nov. 6, 1906. Soon after arri ving I was placed in the High Council. On the 12th or August 1912, I was ordained a Patriarch by Apostle Hyrum H. Smith. Have given 306 blessings since my appointment of which a number have been tultilled. In 1914, Blacktoot Stake was .divided and Shelly Stake created. My home being in the Shelly Stake and Adolph Neilson being President of the High Priest ~uorum~ ~ . L!q, I was chosen as first counselor. and labored in that position until there was a change in the stake presidency and the outgoing presidency were called to preside over the High Priest Q.uorum. In 1928 I bought a home in Poplar Grove We.rd in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved from Basalt, Idaho to Poplar Grove the eight of October 1928. Since then my labors have been in the Salt Lake Temple, laboring for the deaf. I belong to the High Priest Q.uorum, and I am a full fledged member of the Pioneer Stake of Zion and one of the highly honored Patriarchs of the Stake. My wife Mary was born 1anuary 5, 1855 at Ogden City, Utah and my first wife Anna Marin Poulson, was born. in Alborg, Denmark April 22, 1846. The life of my wife Mary has been spent in church work, labored as Sunday School teacher when in her teens. Member of choirs, officer in mutuai both in Ogden City and in Arizona. She labored as ward president in St. 1ohns for two years, also as stake presi-dent in the eastern Arizona Stake and in the St. Johns Stake for twenty years. I. also labored in the Blackfoot Stake as a Stake Board Member until the Stake was divided, she was then chosen a stake president of the ~elief society (In the Shelly Stake), and labored in that capacity tor fourteen years. Am now devoting my time to working the temple as my health will pennit. We have ten children, .f'ourty grand children, and eleven great grand children. I BJll eighty five years old and BJll |
