We took ship at Calls and arrived at Dover, England twenty two Jlliles, then took train tor Sher-field, arriving Saturday night. I attended services the following day, it being Sunday. Monday morning I took train tor Liverpool. Brother R. T. Burton was appointed captain of the canpany of saints who were about to sail for America. We were elven days crossing the Ocean. Arriving in New York, we loaded our train the same day, I being sick the eleven days on the Ocean, was not able to assist the captain on sea and arriving on land, Brother R. T. Burton said, "You can now look atter the saints from here to Ogden City We arrived in Ogden J'uly 7, 1875. Shortly after arriving hom, I was notified by President Charles Middleton, that m.y place was still open tor one in, the High Council. I was chosen head teacher in the third wad or Ogden. ~so chosen 2nd Counselor to J'oseph West in the stake mutual. Shortly atter arriving home I received a letter from Brother Peter Barton, who was my partner in Sheffield Conference and also my successor as president of that conference, stating in that district where we got so much opposition he had baptized fourty one souls, substantiating my former statement and the reason why, I did not Wish to cane home. I had great pleasure in sr lllissionary labors, an eiperience money could not buy. <\ ' ~ In the year of 1875, in the year of the reformation, Apostle John Taylor and George Q..
