We took the train from Haniberg, passed through Station Heil, then took ship and arriTed at Corsair, Denmark to Copenhagen and held Conterence there, then Joined the company and proceeded on our Journey to Berlin, capital of Prussia. Wllile in Berlin, I saw Wilhelm• Biamar, General Von Mollee, King and Queen ot Sweden passing trom the castle to the Opera House. The streets ware lined with people. As they passed, their subjects kneeled on the side walk and as they passed they dotted their hats and we :returned the compliment© We remained there three days then continued on by rail through Monheim. Alexander, theno• to Bazel to Sl(itzerland, there met the president of the Swiss Mission who conducted us to the city of Lucerne. It being a gala day on Mount Rega to celebrate the completion ot a railroad from the south side of a mountain to the top ot Mount Rega; we · took the boat and want to the toot ot the mount41in, changed to the railroad car, which took us to the top of mount Reg,a/ and it was than that I saw the .American Flag first we.Te in the European country. We returned to Lucerne and took (train tor Zurick, where there was a branch of the church and we held meetings. Here • held a conterence; from there we went to Paris, France and Tisited three days. I• hav-ing tailed in health the last eix months, president Smith ased :me it I would like to be released, I said "No". He asked my reason why, I replied because I believed t could see more results in the coming year than I had seen in the last two years that I had spent on the Mission field. |
