Show lands opened to settlement and entry under this act - remaining undisposed of at the'expiration of five years from the time of the taking effect of this act, shall be sold and disposed of for cash x x x x. ay' The proceeds of the sale of such lands shall be applied "/••'• as provided in the act of Congress on May twenty seventh, nineteen hundred and two, and the acts amendentory thereof •A-and supplemental thereto." Yi 7g-j .: y- • -•:• yty This act was effectuated by presidential proclamation ' ••'_••/ .:•:• y y-n-Y g of July 14, 1905, providing that the lands mentioned would, on and after August 28, 1905 "be opened to entry, settle-; • ment, and disposition under the general provisions of the A homestead and townsite laws of the United States." It appears that small scattered areas in these lands have been homesteaded and that other small scattered areas are designated as |
