DEAR SIR: With reference to yonr oircularletter of August 15,1890, I have tosay that I have been to considerable pnius to learn if there are an Indian children who r e~idein territory cotttiguous to our public sohaols who miggt avail themselves of the opportunity you offer, but have not been able to learn of any such. I havehad no practical experience with Indian children, b11t so far as I am able to form any opinion, I am heartily in sympathy with the plan whioh yon propose, which I believe is the best plso so far as the Indians' education is oonoerned, and will st the some time be snWcientremnneration to the poblio nohools to warrant their re-ceiving them.
