April 24, 1890, for logs cut from dead and down timber: All the logs ant by Chnrlrs Lnsh aod William Fairbanks on the Missiaslppi River, about 1,500,000 feet, more or leas; and all the loga cot by M. C. Urao, Warren Brothem, hieArthur Brothers, Simon Roy, and H. F. Howes,on the Clearaster River, srnounting to 8,OW,000 feet, more or less. Bids must be made for separate marks of loga, and price per thousalld feet for each lot of logs must be dis-tinctly atsted. On the 24th of April, 1890, the agent wrote the office that all the bids presented were opened in the agencg. office on that day betneeu the hours of 12 and 1 o'clock, and that one was opeued-the bid of Potter & Co.-which mas not received until 2 p. m. The offers were for logs cut on White Oak Point Reserration bj- On White Earth and Red Lake reserrations there were fire lots. In regard to the bids, the agent was telegraphed April 29,1890: On informrstion furoished in your report, accept bid8 of Orean for White Oak Point loga. Bid received after time of openlug can not be conaidered. Warren (one of the loggers) telegraphs proteat against armd on White Earthlogs.
