Description |
People come from the East, the South and the West, They traveled far to be their guests, The sick and the lonely received comfort and cheer, They knew the ones who would help them the best. A horse and spring wagon was their mode of travel, They were proud and happy they could ride, So to town they went seeing the beauties around them, Content with their mate by their side. Now some have pets--common ones, strange ones, Large and small, and every kind new, But this pioneer couple had one of their own, A cute little pig who adored them, too. When they went visiting, their pet went, too, And waited for them in the shade, Mama and Papa Brady to the store would go, So under the wagon he laid. Again they traveled back to their home, The little pig following was a sight to see, They traveled contented and thankful for their blessings, No place on earth they would rather be.
