FINDING THE GH OST Bodie,C~!ifornia-From Bridgeport, take U.S. 395 seven miles south to State Rt. 270. Go east 10 miles to the end of the pavement and continue three miles on an unsurfaced road to Bodie. Road conditions can be treacherous, even with four-wheel drive, and in winter impassable except by snowmobile. For more information contact Bodie State Historic Park, P.O. Turn left onto Forest Service Rd. 632 and proceed for about four miles. A four-wheel drive is a plus; in winter vou 'li need a snowmobile or skis. Capitol City, Colorado--Capitol City is south of Gunnison on State Rt. 149. At Lake City, take Henson Creek Rd. west for about 10 miles toward Engineer Pass. Winter travel requires a snowmobile or skis. Bannack, Montana-From Dillon, follow Rt. 278 west about 20 miles over Badger Pass to a gravel road. Turn left to Bannack, about five miles. New Mexico-From Silver City, take U.S. Rt. 180 north to State Rt. 159. Go east about six miles to Mogollon. Pinos Altos, New Mexico-Pinos Altos is north of Silver City. From Silver City take State Rt. 15 north about four miles. Cisco. Utah-Cisco is just off 1-70 on Utah's eastern border. Exit at State Rt. 128 south. Grafton, Utah-From Springdale on the southern edge of Zion National Park, take State Rt. 9 southwest two miles to Rockville. Take Bridge Rd. south; keep to the right at a junction a mile and a half from Rockville. Most of Bridge Rd. is gravel. Ophir.
