Onthe afternoon of 21 August Carol and I also made 5 Macabee gopher sets (4 with single traps, 1 with a double) on thehillside next to our campsite. Eric had caught at least one animalin the sameregion the day before; I caught a large male Thomomys bottae centralis (JLP 26597; subspecies from ER Hall 1946) the next morning, and pulled all remaining traps on 23 August because oflack of subsequentactivity. 21-25 August 2015 Onthe afternoon of 21 August, Carol andI set three traplines, each with 40 Shermanlive traps baited with commercialrolled oats, in the pifion-juniper woodland and open sagebrush-rabbitbrush at Lehman Cave.
