Effect on Indians (Federal Trust Responsibilities, etc.): The United States has long recognized its trust responsibility to help the Ute Indian Tribe develop their water resources. The Uintah Indian Irrigation Project, which was authorized as early as June 21, 1906, was a Federal project designed to develop water resources of the Reservation.
