VanPelt <br> Treas - Westminster College <br> Salt Lake City Utah. <br><br> Dear Sir <br> I have the pleasure to forward you Miss Caroline Willard's (Auburn N.Y) Check for $2000 for College building. This was promised me about a year ago. <br> I noticed that it is signed by an Amannensis.* This would seem to indicate that Miss Willard is quite feeble I would suggest that you deposit it at once in back for collection. If she should die before the Check reaches the Cayuga County Bank for payment I do not know whether they (the Bank) would acknowledge it or not. However Miss Willard probably has an understanding with the Bank or she would not send out such** a Check so signed. Van Pelt, Sheldon Jackson writes that he is sending a donation from Miss Caroline Willard with his letter, and that the money is for Westminster College of Salt Lake City, Utah. He notes Miss Willard may die soon, and figures she has some understanding with the bank as an assistant has signed the check. He then asks for two receipts. |
