BBL: She was principal of both schools? DOR: This was the annex. All those kids, when we went to fifth and sixth grades at RIverside, we were the strangers because those kids had been going together And then from there Jordan Junior High, which was nght behtnd, probably a block away behind Riverside School, nght on the Jordan River Jordan River ran on two sides of our school. In those days kids were safe. BBL: You could have your recess out there. Let Ine see, you went to Riley Elementary second, third and fourth grade, and then you went to Riverside Elementary through- DOR: BBL: DOR: BBL: DOR: BBL: Fifth and sixth grades. Fifth and sixth grades. But that was n1uch larger then? It was a two-story butlding. Two, couldn't be three, could tt? And they JUSt had fifth and sixth grade there? No They had all the grades there. But we weren't In the d1stnct. I see what you're saying. Because Riley was so sinall then they could only have the sn1aller grades there, so then you went to Riverside. That's what you were saying. All the other kids had been going there, and you guys were at the outcast school. And then you went to, tell the name of your JUnior high agmn. DOR: Jordan Junior High. BBL: Jordan Junior High, which was JUSt behtnd Riverside. Are those schools still there, Riverside and Jordan? 6 |
