Show New York City <br> 19th March 96 <br><br> My dear Dr Jackson: <br> The friend to whom I thought to speak about the loan returned earlier than expected and I saw him this A.M. I left with him the particulars, but do not expect anything will come of it, as he said to me, as money matters now are, he thought we should do well now to get the loan at 5/c with one cent commission as offered in W. <br> This has been a day of great rain fall and wind, but I have got around considerably and I hope without harm. <br> The Review of Reviews takes an article. In this letter, John Eaton informs Sheldon Jackson that he was able to speak with a friend regarding a loan. John Eaton reports that a loan at the time may be hard to come by, and then goes on to talk about the weather and the press, namely the Review of Reviews and the Independent, in regard to their acceptance of an article and John Eaton's notes. |
