Show THE CHURCH REVIEW.

CENTRAL CHRISTIAN.
While our meetings are in progress more attention is given to the notes for the Daily Gospel News than to those for the REVIEW. This is not because we like the REVIEW any less than of old, but because we have to do it in order to succeed.
In spite of the rain the past week we have had good audiences each evening. Generally larger ones than we would or could have had in our church.
The work now being done by Bro. Romig will bear fruit for a long time in the future.
Miss Lucy Bracken united with us upon last Lord's day. She is boarding in the Brooks Arcade building.
During the past week Bro. Romig has been quite busy. He preached three times on last Lord's day, once each day since at the tabernacle, and addressed the ministers on Monday on revivals and on Tuesday spoke to the Endeavorers at Salt Lake College.
If any of our members are so situated, as some seem to be, so that they cannot attend the meetings they have our sincerest sympathy. The sermons are good, and very instructive, and must surely strengthen those who come.
We were glad to greet Mr. W. S. Hale, of Mayfield, Ky., who spent last Lord's day in Salt Lake and worshipped with us in the tabernacle. He is pleased with the city and may locate here, though he has gone Northwest to look over the country. Mr. Hale is a member of the Christian church. Let no one lose interest in either the Sunday school or the Christian Endeavor work. Make it a point to be on hand promptly in these, departments of our work and do your best to make them interesting.

ILIFF M. E.
Our meeting last Wednesday night proved to be one of the best we have ever had. Those who were absent-well, it is useless to try to tell them what they missed. We cannot promise such glad surprises every time, but we are always well repaid for coming.
Steps are being taken to form a Local Union of all the Epworth Leagues of the city. Much good can be accomplished by such a union and it is hoped all the Leaguers will heartily join.
The date of the conference of our missions is finally fixed for June 20th, and the Epworth League convention will take place just preceding the conference, June 18th and 19th. Both are to be held in our church. So we shall begin to prepare for them.

LIBERTY PARK M. E.
Bro. Bleasdale met with a serious accident last week in which his shoulder was broken by a vicious horse breaking out from a corral. He had to drive home alone twenty miles before it was set.
Lulu Hickman Burd, infant daughter of Bro. M. M. Burd, was buried, Friday, April 26th. "Gone to its mother's arms."
Mr. J. C. Gleeson has gone over into Nevada to DeLamar.
Prof. G. W. Dix and wife, late of Provo, have moved to 677 Sixth East. We are glad to have them so near.
Mrs. Maggie Dixon has moved to Provo. Thus they come and thus they go.
Bro. Hunt will visit the Epworth League this evening and preach at 7:30.
There was no Epworth League social last Thursday evening because of the meetings in progress at First church.

PHILLIPS CONGREGATIONAL.
The large and appreciative audience last Sunday evening leads us to hope that this Sunday evening course may prove a great help to all Bible students.
This evenings subject should be especially attractive to all Sunday school teachers and scholars.
A large number of beautiful colored views have been secured to illustrate, "The Tabernacle in the Wilderness."
Sup't Hawkes who has made a very careful study of this subject will explain the pictures.
Please extend an invitation to your friends who do not attend any church, asking them to come with us in this tour of Palestine.
Tomorrow evening at 8 o'clock at the First Congregational church will occur the Anniversary of the Chinese Christian Association.
Music and addresses and a model Chinese school will make a very pleasant program, no admission, all are invited.
If you don't go and get your souvenir next Monday evening at the Chinese Anniversary somebody else will.
Shall we not have a May picnic for our Sunday school? Talk it up and then make a grand good time of it.

Why Pay Rent?
When for the same money you can own your own home. $10 per month buys a lot in "OAKLEY." 125 lots sold the past two weeks. High ground, excellent view, fine location.
W. E. HUBBARD,
43 W. 2nd South

S. J. GRIFFIN.
Cor. 24th and Grand Ave., Ogden, Utah
has the most complete rubber stamp, seal and stencil factory, turns out the most satisfactory work, at lowest prices of anyone in the west. Get his catalogue before placing orders.
He is also local agent for Columbia bicycles and has a number of these machines to rent. Call on him.

|
