Show THE CHURCH REVIEW.

Methodist, Payson.
The prayer meeting last week was well attended and spiritual.
Every Wednesday evening this month will be devoted especially to the probationers, who will study their handbooks each week.
Despite the dust storm, the union service at the Presbyterian church last Sunday evening was well attended and music excellent.
Miss Ola Judson led the League meeting last Sabbath evening in the absence of Mrs. Perry and all [seemed] to get help from the study of Job's words.
Our young people were all glad to welcome home Miss Ada McBeth last Sabbath. She has been absent four months, visiting in Kansas and surprised most everybody by her return.
Next Friday and Saturday, the 10th and 11th, is the County Sabbath School convention, to be held in our church. Let everybody pray and labor to make it a success in every way. Mrs. Tom Todd is chairman of refreshment committee, Charles Judson of reception committee, Mrs. Todd of decoration committee and Dr. Evans has charge of the music. Let the work go forward.

Methodist, Tooele.
The work on the Tooele Circuit moves along very nicely. At each appointment, the interest in all departments of our work is being maintained with the old time Methodist vigor. One of the results of the revival, and by no means an unimportant one, has been renewed activity along the line of giving. In consequence, all our benevolences will be met in fall.
On Easter Sunday we availed ourselves of the opportunity to raise our missionary apportionment.
At Stockton the pastor stated that the amount apportioned for the circuit was $25.00 and asked them to contribute $25.00 of the amount. They responded cheerfully and we secured $32.85 in a very few minutes. Two weeks before they were asked to give $10.00 for Church Extension and gave $16.65.
Our Epworth League grows in interest and numbers every week. We expect to send a "live" delegation to our Territorial Convention.
The pastor is in labors abundant preparing for conference. He expects to have everything ready so as to present full reports of the work of the year, at the coming 4th quarterly conference.
The "social" given by our teacher, Miss Della Murphy, at Grantsville, last week, will be an event long to be remembered by the people of that place. About forty gathered at the chapel and spent a very enjoyable evening.
Sisters Mitchener and Johnson and Miss Essie Spalding drove over from Stockton, while Mr. George Hammond and the pastor went down from Tooele.
A committee is at work making the necessary arrangements to paper, paint and carpet the interior of our church at Stockton.
May success attend them!
T. J. H.

Farmington and Bountiful Missions
Miss Eaton was confined to the house with la grippe and unable to take charge of Sunday school last Sunday. She is now so far recovered as to resume her duties in the schoolroom.
There will be services in Bliss Hall next Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
Rev. W. H. Tibbals of Salt Lake college preached in the New West schoolhouse at Farmington last Sunday evening and announced that he would be with us again next Sunday evening.
We are now well supplied with new singing books, and we shall expect to enjoy the singing now.
The readers of the REVIEW will sympathize with Judge Haight and family in their bereavement on account of the death of his wife. Judge Haight is one of the principal patrons of the New West school.
Mrs. Fred Hays and children of Eureka are visiting with her mother, Mrs. McCaig. They came down out of mountains because of the illness of the son Arthur.

Salt Lake College
Miss Thurman, of Lehi, has joined the second year class of the academy.
The Christian Endeavor society gave a pleasant social at the cottage a week ago last Friday evening.
Prof. R. I. Fulton, of Delaware, Ohio, formerly a colleague of Prof. Tibbals at Park college, visited us last Monday afternoon and addressed the students on the "Importance of Elocution."
Rev. Mr. Romig gave an hour to the students on Tuesday afternoon which was most highly enjoyed.
The students have a tennis court about ready and soon may be heard "15 love" or "love 15."

Chinese costumes and Chinese model school as conducted in China; Chinese children in costume will sing in Chinese and English; songs and recitations by the members of the Chinese evening school,-- at the First Congregational church, Monday evening May 6, at 8 o'clock. Seats free. Souvenir at the door.
Salt Lake City.

"If you will do the small duty at hand it will open the way to larger work. A man who does not fill a small place is not apt to be called to occupy a larger one."

|
