Sec.* <br><br> 1248 Blaine Ave. Oct. 17th, 1902 <br><br> My dear Dr. Jackson: <br> Teaching five different college studies daily, in addition to the Bible, with the hours of work necessary to prepare and arrange the work, leaves me very little time for correspondence on anything else. Never in my life have I worked more hours a day than now trying to avoid the expense of another teacher. Hence delay in sending you the educational statistics you desired. <br> Now look at the educational activity among the Mormons <br> 1. Look at the Brigham Young Academy at Provo, 50 miles south This week, they were celebrating its 27th anniversary. It has a large 3 story brick and stone building costing about $50,000. It has a Faculty of about 20, and over 600 students in the Academy They are so crowded, they are planning for another building <br> 2. Look at the Latterday Saints college in this city, with over 500 students. They are now putting up the third beautiful building within two years, each one costing about $35,000. <br> 3. Look at the Brigham Young College at Logan with over 600 students. They have a fine college ground of 20 acres, and 2 fine buildings, one of which cash about $70,000 and the other about $30,000. <br> 4. The Mormons have control of the State University which has over 500 students, That is, a majority of the Faculty and Trustees are Mormons. The same is true of the Agricultural College at Logan with over 500 students.
