I'm right in the middle of the water turn. When I get through I'll go to the doctor. " This was an unexpected concession and Mama had to be satisfied. "All right, if you'll lie down this minute and rest. You've been up two nights with the water. " "I can't rest. I've got to get to the farm and change the water. " For answer Mama picked Papa up bodily, as he was very thin, and put him on the bed off the kitchen. She lay down beside him to keep him from leaving. He seemed to like it.
