Show U. of U. Chronicle Year Boole 39 The great strides made by the University have not ended with them; they have given new impetus and vigor to the Preps. And so our record of the year is simply a tale of continual progress-a vain effort to keep pace with the University, which is rapidly running away from us. During the past year the Preps, have maintained four distinct organizations: the main student body, the debating club, the cross country team, and track team. The officers of the student bod)' are: George Andrews (Rus), president; Earl Bennion, vice-president; and Joseph Madsen, secretary. The purpose of this organization is to unite all the students and lead them to work unitedly and persistently for the benefit of the Preparatory School. In athletics our boys have done splendidly. Two of the members of last year's 'Varsity football team were Preps., and two of the subs, were from our number. In the recent cross country meet we carried off first place, while we scored more points than all our competitors together in the Class track meet. |
