Show 24 U. of U. Chronicle Year Book (Pfi?K><S<r8 FIE Sophomores, the foremost class of all!" This line from our class, which favor we greatly appreciate. Keep it up, an invitation to one of our dances has become the title by which we are known to every student in the school. Everyone is willing to back our claim to it. On every hand our fellow-students are repeating it, thereby helping to advertise fellow-students; but remember, at the same time, the popular saying, "Every knock is a boost." We realize that the wider our acquaintance becomes, the greater is our popularity. In order that a class may be alive, ready to do things, it is necessary that each member have at heart the welfare of the organization; the class must stick together. Every one in it must be ready to stand by the decision of the majority, and carry every project to its proper end. This spirit characterizes the 'oj Class and accounts for its success this year. We began the year with a "rush" in more senses than ont. It was we who introduced the Flag Rush into the school-participated in the first event of the kind ever held in the history of the University. The result was just as we had planned: the weakness and insignificance of the green Freshmen was shown up. Our victory was celebrated by a good, rousing "bust" at one of the Frat houses. Shortly after the rush came the class football games. Here again the Sophomores showed the stuff they are made of. At first there was some talk of letting the Preps, enter a team, but the Class of '07 argued that as the Preps, are not University students, they should not be allowed a place in the series of games. This stand was hotly contested, but carried. The games are very interesting and successful. By them new material was developed and much pleasure afforded the students.
