Show LK MK of that I had to look after him. In fact in total. He become senile, wasn't able to move around so much and I looked after him just as much as I'm looking after mother now. That occupied a lot of my time looking after him. Till he died at 75. Mitsugi, what's it ~ike to be around parents who .YOU knew, you know, when they were really strong and vital? What's it like to be around them when they're not conscious of you? Oh, it was very, very, I would say, comforting period in my life because they were there. My dad was pretty active, you know, oh, gee whize - I don't know exactly what he was doing while I was in the service but I think he was pretty active in Salt Lake. In the church activities and then this Issei group. The Issei group had what you call a Shagin group. It's a group established to oh, send Chinese poems. When I say Chinese poems, it's not in Chinese. It's all in Japanese but it translated as Chinese poems and there are several groups in Salt Lake who were very, very popular. Some groups are still engaged in Shagin but oh for a number of years I guess they were pretty close. My dad and mother were pretty active. In the groups. And there are serveral schools of Shagin. Just like flower arrangements. Several different schools that she attended and my father |
