Show Frank Nischiguchi 9-13-84 s3:40 SF So the American Legion wasn't very prejudiced. FN NO. SF They didn't give you any difficulty. FN See, I graduated in 47 so the war was~erin 45. SF And you didn't play in the summer in high school. FN No, the league extended I think for about a mnth after high school was over. But at one time, I was playing for three different teams at once and my brothers .. (end side 3) (begin side four) FN My brother George, one time, when I playing for the three leagues, called me before I left home to go play baseball one time. And he said, Frank, you've got to make up your mind whther you're going to be my partner or you're going to play ball. Youcan•t have both. And so anway, I said, well, the high school •s over in a week and the American Legion won't be going very long. Then there'll be just the one team. And he said, ok, I'll accept that. Like I say, he spoiled me. He was a very very understanding brother. SF OK. Bear River. American Legion. And what was the other one. FN It was the Japanese Baseball League. I played for the Honeyville Team. That league covered everywhere from well and then we formed our own here in Garland, after SF And then you had a Garland team. |
