Show V The continumorphic analogue would put man's perception of nature where it belongs - in the reality of nature. Mankind's perception is a sick anemic version that saps the vitality from the entire natural order of things. In the myriad civilizations in the galaxy ours is a disgust in the eyes of God. Iti Our civilisation is a vague empty abstraction like so much religion these days a grotesque hypocrisy that is destroying the planet. Michael J. Cohen in his PREJUDICE AGAINST NATURE puts it this way: Because Culture is so strong and encompassing, most Americans are not conscious of their alienation from Nature, nor of their Cultural desire to thwart nature and to obtain status and the comfort of the womb euphoria by being distant from nature. Americans don't experience their alienation from nature as being a problem of consciousness; instead we are aware of it as being" problems of illnes, pollution, loneliness, economics, lifestyles, and religious conflicts. We are unaware that we seldom personally relate to Nature; it is our Culture that relates to Nature. Continumorphic space with all its organizing principles would be a shot of adrenalin to a dying planet a dying spirituality which is man in his perfection which in the here and now man in a fallen state. -38- |
