Show Happy Jack ;--! "We are here to hear what you say as you want to help. these people here, thats why we are here. I think about the same about Dick Wanrodes, and don't know why he went to Washington. Some of our people are going to. take a delegation to Washington. Dick slipped off and we did not* know what he went for- Thats the reason we depend on' grazing our sheep on our grazing land. This has been allot- ed to us and it belongs to these Indian people .just the same as our allotments. Some of the people, some of the Murdocka said they wanted to get a lease on the grazing land, and a3 our land3 were small e.nd we could not farm them, and it is not like it used to be, so we should lease them. They say it is too small for us, thats the reason some of them cattle men like this land. We can't spare it, we want it for our own use. This grazing land does not belong to one person,. it oelongs to everybody on this agency and they understand w that it belongs to everyone. Thats the reason that we do. not - J/ want to lease this grazing land. We want our agent to go ahead and tell about the Indian Office and help us. Thats what I want him to do for us. The Government gave us a piece of land and we ought to use it , and use our allotted land, and the old Indians ought to hold the grazing land iust the s.ame |
